Traveling on I-5, take exit 230 (Highway 20 - just north of Mt. Vernon, WA) turn left at the light and follow the signs into downtown Anacortes, about 15 miles. Turn left on 12th Street - the San Juan Ferry Terminal is 4-5 miles outside of town and the route is well marked. We recommend that you arrive an hour before scheduled ferry departures; two hours early on weekends and the summer season. The San Juan Ferry Terminal in Anacortes is at least a 2 hour drive from SEA/TAC airport and the ferry ride to Orcas Island lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Orcas Ferry Dock to Orcas Suites by Car
Driving off the ferry turn left onto Orcas Road and follow the road toward the town of Eastsound. At Eastsound turn right and drive 1.3 miles through town to the Olga Road/Terrill Beach Road intersection. Turn right and drive 3.2 miles to Rosario Road, turn right and drive 1.3 miles to the bottom of the hill, then turn left in front of the Moran Mansion. Drive past the swimming pool, boat harbor and pond. At the stop sign turn right and park in front of the dock. The registration office is in the dock house. Island speed limit is 40 MPH. Bus Service – Seattle/Tacoma Airport to Ferry Terminal
The Airporter Shuttle picks up at the airport outside Baggage Claim Door 00 (lower level). The Airporter travels to the San Juan Ferry Terminal in Anacortes with numerous stops along the way. Allow 2 ½ hours to arrive at the ferry dock. “Walk-on” passengers need only arrive 15 minutes before departure.
